Our Story
My name is Thomas Brown, and I had an Open-Heart surgery on my birthday in November of 2018. Like many of you, we went on an unexpected adventure on the journey of post-surgical recovery. Holding onto our faith in God was the most vital key in our experience, and we both learned that it takes courage to overcome the challenges of pain. We firmly believe that most of the time, the best answers are derived from common sense, and the simple use of compression technology promotes the healing process and adds another level of comfort.
I developed the first version of the Heart Embracer vest when I needed to travel 350 miles in a car to work just three weeks after my Open Heart surgery. The pain in my chest was excruciating from the bumping and jostling of the freeways. I desperately searched the internet for some garment that would hold my chest to reduce the movement I was experiencing. Still, I found nothing explicitly supporting the ribs and Thorax area.
My new vest quickly became my best friend that I could count on to support me when I needed it the most. The best part was that I had complete control over the amount of compression that focused right over my most painful sternal area by using the chest grips. I soon realized that I

wasn't the only person who had tried to find the best way to cope with this life-changing dilemma. It became a personal challenge to me to share with other patients the ability to reduce their pain associated with recovery in a way that didn't include the narcotic drugs often prescribed. We are committed to helping others get back to their pre-surgical life as quickly and effortlessly as possible so that they can enjoy their families again.
